Valid is a fishing town found at the estuary of Deep Lake and Valiin's River. The town was founded as a safe haven for mages by a mysterious figure named Valiin. While not much is known is Valiin, the town thrives and serves as a major port for the massive fishing industry that utilizes Deep Lake for feeding the various towns of the Golden Fields.
The Farm, mentioned in the tale of the Farmer, is a cursed place left to ruin by the superstition of witches and plague brought upon it. The farm rests at the base of Valiin's Swamp, a horrible place of decay and rot. The fetid waters serve as a nesting ground for Ooze Sprites, a most vile and disgusting creature. Nothing in the area will grow and all other life has long since vacated the area, leaving the Oooze Sprites to dominate. The swamp also acts a prison for the Ooze Sprites since there magical nature cannot sustain itself outside the putrid vile mess that is the swamp.
